Starving For Thinner Thighs Isn’t The Way To Go

Thinner-Thighs-starving-diet-thinner-thighsIn my line of work, I see a lot of women who think the only way to get thinner thighs is to starve themselves on an extremely low calorie diet. If not the only way, at the least they think it’s the easiest and fastest way.

Unfortunately, nothing can be further from the truth! Getting thinner thighs by starving yourself will do absolutely no good!

Almost all of the conventional and popular diets out there today are in one form or another are extremely low calorie diets. It’s all about starving yourselves so your body loses the fat.

Now don’t get me wrong, extremely low calorie diets really do produce results… but not for the long run.

You see, when we starve ourselves, our body consumes the fat stored in our body. In fact, that’s the whole reason why our body stores fat in the first place. In case of droughts or food shortages, during prehistoric times, humans would have needed these extra fats to survive.

But enough of history and more of science. So our body consumes the fat, but not all. It will consume a certain amount, usually very minimal, then it will start to break down our muscles as well. When we starve ourselves, we not only starve the fat, we also starve our muscles. So now, we’re losing both our fat and our muscles.

If you still think this is the way to go to get thinner thighs, keep reading.

When we start losing muscle, our body’s metabolism automatically slows down and our fat loss stops. If you continue at your current rate, you won’t lose any more fat and you will not be anywhere near getting your thinner thighs.

But you could however, starve yourselves even further. And the cycle will repeat itself. You will lose a little fat once, then muscle, and when that happens your metabolism slows down even further and your fat loss stops completely again.

And not to mention that the fat stored in your thighs are usually the hardest to get rid of in the whole entire body, you would have just made yourself extremely weak and malnourished for nothing.

And you wouldn’t be any closer to getting thinner thighs.

Sorry, but that’s just the way the body works.
